Japanese Hamburger(chicken)

Today grandma (daddy's mummy) came to visit me and she cooked lunch for us. its the first time mummy tasted wat grandma made. Daddy always praise grandma's culinary skill in front of mummy thus mummy was looking forward to her visit today as she promised to cook something which mummy would like to eat and also give mummy a 'cooking lesson' haha.

Usually in japan, the 'hamburger' is beef thus mummy has never tried them outside since she dosent eat beef so grandma made her a chicken hamburger! Its soooooooooooo yummy! of cos mummy helped in the kitchen as well and learn from grandma hehe. next time she shall try making for daddy and me!

This photo is not well taken haha. Mummy has lousy photo taking skills! She should emphasize on the hamburger and not the veg! Stupid mummy...

Hmm what's this??

Looks nice! Can i eat grandma??

BTW, i took a whole bowl of udon for my lunch slightly before grandma and mummy completed cooking this but anyway i took some of this dish from mummy and grandma too and also some more rice! hehe.

As for the recipe, grandma just make it base on her sense thus there is no exact qty of ingredients to use. Using her estimation, mummy drafted out the recipe here below:

Ingredients:
Minced chicken (about 600g. 200g for 1 person. 100g per hamburger)-ok to use minced beef or pork as well
1 Onion (diced finely)
1 egg (beaten)
3/4 cup of bread crumbs
some milk to mix with the bread crumbs to soften it.
demiglace sauce
salt n pepper

Directions:
Fry the diced onion in strong fire till frangrant and let cool
Put the bread crumbs into a bowl and mix in some milk to soften the crumbs.
Squeeze out the milk lightly with hands and put into a big bowl
Add the cooled onions, minced meat, beaten egg, salt n pepper into the big bowl and mix everything well
Shape the hamburger into the size u like
Heat some oil in the frying pan and put the hamburgers into it letting it fry under strong fire
After the base turned brown, flip it over and turn the fire to medium
Cover the hamburger with a cover to let it 'steam' under medium fire so that the hamburger will be cooked through and not just the surface of it
Check for doneness
Once the inside has been cooked, add some demiglace sauce onto it and flip it over a few times so that is is well covered with sauce and let it fry for a few more secs
Serve with extra demiglace sauce on top
