Digging for my fav snacks from mummy's bag~

In fact, mummy bought me a backpack previously for my 1 year old birthday but then.. the bag is pratically useless as it has only a small compartment which is only enough for maybe 2 hanky?? lol.

Home made pizza

Mummy made this for my dinner last night but i totally rejected it! I ate a mouth and spat out.. not to my liking even though i was dead hungry! After tat, mummy went to cook udon for me and i cleared my bowl immediately all by myself! so.. a hungry baby can be picky as well! lol..

this is very easy t0 make as u can see.. just apply pizza sauce (buy ready made ones-kagome) and add some mixed cheese on top n put into an oven toaster to toast. Of cos, its ok to add any other ingredients eg tuna, corn, green pepper etc etc

Skeeter Syndrome

yesterday we went to the beach and i come home with a few mosquito bites. among them, one of them grew into a huge swell as shown above.(swell up half of my lower arm..) mummy was a bit worried thus she searched online and came across this term "Skeeter Syndrome". But for me, it didnt itch nor is it painful.. It just feels warm n hard... grandma (mummy's mummy) advise her to bring me to a pd but then she feels it should be fine after a few days after reading up on the net.. meanwhile, she will keep applying calendula cream (from california baby) and aloe vera gel on the affected area to speed up the healing process and soothe the itch (if any)

Rolled Cabbage

Few days ago mummy saw some cooking program on tv and inspired her to make this dish. Then she went to search for recipes online and decided to try this recipe out http://erecipe.woman.excite.co.jp/features/okazu/o37.html

However, she made some adjustment from the original recipe.

Ingredient:
1 ball of cabbage (diced some and mix into the meat mixture)
350g minced meat of your choice
Half an onion (diced)
Breadcrumbs (1/4 cup)
Milk (3 tablespoon)
1 egg
some flour

Soup base
1 Chicken cube
Water 300-400ml
Tomato Puree 200ml
Ketchup 4 tablespoon
Sugar, salt, pepper to taste

Directions:
Cut out the stem of the cabbage as shown in the above link
remove the leaf of the cabbage one by one carefully (picking out about 8-10pcs of the biggest leaf and diced up some of the smaller ones that wont be used)
put the big leaves into a big pot of boiling water and boil for a few mins until soft. Drain.
Fry the diced onion and set aside
Mix in the cooled onion, minced meat, breadcrumbs and milk together and mix till well mix
Thin down the stem of the boiled cabbage leaf as shown in the link above
Sprinkle some flour onto the cabbage leaf
Take a handful of the mixed minced meat mixture and place on the cabbage leaf (place at the end nearest to u)
Fold in the 2 sides of the cabbage and rolled it up from the bottom. Secure the rolled cabbage with a tooth pick
Place the rolled cabbage into a big pot and pour in water to boil
Pour in the soup base ingredients and let simmer for 30mins.

Mummy made a total of 8 rolled cabbages and there are some meat left over so she rolled them into meat balls and throw them into the pot of tomato soup for my dinner. hee

Pizza Hamburger

Mummy made this for our dinner tonight. The directions to make this is exactly the same as the normal japanese hamburger. the only difference is the sauce used and the topping(green pepper and mixed cheese)

Ingredients:
Minced chicken (about 600g. 200g for 1 person. 100g per hamburger)-ok to use minced beef or pork as well
1 Onion (diced finely)
1 egg (beaten)
3/4 cup of bread crumbssome milk to mix with the bread crumbs to soften it.
salt n pepper to taste

Directions:
Fry the diced onion in strong fire till frangrant and let cool
Put the bread crumbs into a bowl and mix in some milk to soften the crumbs.
Squeeze out the milk lightly with hands and put into a big bowl
Add the cooled onions, minced meat, beaten egg, salt n pepper into the big bowl and mix everything well.
Shape the hamburger into the size u like.
Heat some oil in the frying pan and put the hamburgers into it letting it fry under strong fire
After the base turned brown, flip it over and turn the fire to medium
Cover the hamburger with a cover to let it 'steam' under medium fire so that the hamburger will be cooked through and not just the surface of it
Check for doneness
Once the inside has been cooked, add some pizza sauce(buy those ready to use type in a bottle), sliced green pepper and some mixed cheese onto it and return the cover
let it fry for a few more secs
Serve
