Nutritious Teething Biskuits

This time she remembers to take photos! lol. These are all fresh from the oven! This time, she tried the Nutritious Teething biskuits.. Mummy says this is more tasty! Maybe because of the milk and egg hehe.

These biscuits are softer than the previous one too. But still, i take ages to bite them! Strange thing is... though these are softer... they dosent seem to melt in the mouth as much as the previous cookies does...so i got to bite though i have only 8 teeth! (4 fully grown n 4 halfway out..) Well, these biscuits are easier for mummy to eat though since they can be biten easily...

Nutritious Teething Biscuits

Ingredients:
1 beaten egg yolk
3 Tbsp maple syrup or molasses (May be omitted)
1 tsp vanilla 1
1/2 Tbsp oil
1/4 cup milk
1 Tbsp uncooked oatmeal
1 cup flour (white, wheat or combo)
1 Tbsp soy flour
1 Tbsp wheat germ
1 Tbsp nonfat dry milk.

Directions: Blend wet ingredients, add dry ingredients. Dough will be stiff. Roll dough thin and cut into strips or desired shapes. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.

These can be made without the last 3 ingredients, but they add to the nutritional value. **Freezes Well**

Can anyone make out the shape of these cookies?? (ans: dog)

Rocco, me n mummy has been snacking with cookies these few days hehe. (Daddy dun dare to try mummy's home made cookies haha.)

Hey, been wanting to ask you, what milk do you use in your cooking for jumpy?

Also, do you add the vanilla essence?

Are these cookies tasty? :D

i use normal cow milk hehe. i read that its ok to use cow milk for cooking after 6mths thus i tried it. i didnt add vanilla essence though i wanted to try it. haven bought it hehe. u can try skim milk if u want but i think baby needs fats so i normal cow milk which i usually drinks.. not those low fats ones..

ok honestly speaking they are NOT tasty! lol. because i didnt add any seasoning like salt, sugar n vanilla essence.. they taste rather blend.. eg they might only taste of oats or milk+eggs lol. u can try to add other flavourings to make them tasty. but then jumpy likes them.. she strange de la. she likes plain macaroni compare to fish n sweet potatos! think she prefers something without much taste lol.

I wanted to try whole milk but it comes in 1L packaging here and must use within a week! Is that the case in Japan too?

I don't use so much of it in cooking so I've been using my breast milk so far...

hmm i usually dun care too much bout the dates.. it comes in 1L packet here as well.. think need to finish in a week or few days.. but then.. because i love milk n i drink almsot 400-500ml every morning! then sometimes at night or afternoon if i feel hungry yet meal time is not up yet.. so i can finish a packet in 2 days at most! i always buy 4 packets at one go.. never fails to finish them.. hehe

Wow, awesome! I'm so going to try this too! My baby prefers plain porridge to sweet potatoes too, so I guess it's ok for them to be bland =P
