Baby Bolognese Macaroni

Yesterday mummy made me some bolognese macaroni and i cleared my bowl by myself without mummy's help! With my hands of cos.. hee. She jsut use some cherry tomatoes and minced chicken/beef(she minced by herself) and then blend them together in a blender.. then fry them together with the macaroni.. FInally add some cheese. very simple yet i like it. Hehe.

Rice Balls

Today mummy made me some rice balls for my dinner as she is getting lazy feeding me she says since ive been eating so slowly ever since i turned 1...its very simple and she is very happy that i eats them by myself (using hands of cos! lol). Basically she just boil some salmons and frozen carrots, peas n corn and then after boiled, she puree them with a mixer then scoop out some freshly cooked rice and mix them altogether. then using wet hands, roll them into mini balls.. she made about 14 balls and i took 9.. she is very happy cos she dosent need to feed me and it wasnt as messy as when i was eating my porridge! hehe

Non bake Cheesecake

Mummy wanted to bake butter cake for her snacks at night since she is always hungry after putting me to bed recently but then last minute she changed her mind and decided to make a non bake cheesecake instead because... she says... she has no patience to wait for the eggs for the butter cake to get to room temperature (all eggs have to be in room temperature for baked goods) before baking!

She get this recipe from the philadelphia cream cheese's box. But all the ingredients are given in grams thus get ready your kitchen weighing scale!

Preparation Time: 20mins

Ingredients:

Base:
9pcs of graham cookies(about 90g)
40g melted butter

*Put the graham cookies into a plastic bag and tie it up. Then use a rollin pin or whatever u wish to substitute with to roll onto the biskuits until it becomes fine biskuits powder. Then add the melted butter(after it is cooled) into the cookies crumbs and mix well. Then press into a 18cm greased(grease with butter to prevent sticking) springform cake tin with a metal spoon. Leave it aside.

Filling:
1 box of philadelphia cream cheese(about 250g)
60g sugar

*Beat the soften cream cheese(soften at room temperature or put it into a microwave oven and heat it for about 30secs) and sugar until it becomes creamy

200g plain yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
5g of powdered gelatin
50ml water(for gelatin)

*Dissolve the gelatin into the water(DO NOT use boiling water as it will affect the 'performance' of the gelatin). Mix all of the above ingredients into the creamed mixture above until smooth(use anything u like to mix with. mummy uses a spatula) then pour into the cake tin. (you might need to turn/shake the tin a bit to level the mixture inside) Put into the refrigerator and let it cool for at least 2-3hours(mummy prefers to let non cake cheesecake stays in the fridge overnight as it will be harder. If not, it will be a bit soft like jelly...

Guess autumn is ending as its getting real cold these few days.. see the red leaves tree near our house going bald...

These few days mummy is dressing me up like an eskimo! Few days ago she bought me some hat to keep my ears warm but then i kept removing them thus she found another better alternative! Look at my photo below.. what can u see?? (Where are my ears??? LOL)

This is me in this coat last winter when i was 4mths old...
Mummy says this coat wont be able to fit me next winter~ Its already kind of tight now..

Development at 1 year old

These few days mummy have been praising me as i seem to know alot of vaocabs and the names of my toys. whenever she ask me where is my toy eg giraffe, mickey, toothbrush, i will pass them to her. Also, she has been showing me a dvd 'Your Baby Can Read' which she borrowed from a fren and through the video, i learned how to touch my nose and how to put my arms up so mummy often pratice them with me.

Note that i turn towards the TV while pointing to my nose when mummy asked me to.. because i learn from DVD! hee. mummy ask me to put my arms up but i refuse..

Quick and Easy pancakes

Mummy found this recipe online and she tried to make it today for her own breakfast. Boy that was really a breeze! Really fast and easy! Delicious too! Very light, soft and fluffy...See how fluffy it is?? The best part is that she dosent need to whisk the egg white(hard job) to get this result!

Ingredients:
1 ½ cup flour
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 ¼ -1 ½ cups milk
2 eggs

Directions:
Mix together the dry ingredients. Add the eggs and milk to the bowl and combine. The batter does not need to be perfectly smooth.
Preheat a skillet or griddle to medium heat. I use 350 on my griddle. Grease the grill and use a ladle or scoop to pour evenly sized pancakes.

Gymboree Trial Lesson

Today mummy brought me to gymboree's play gym free trial class at moto azabu... it looks fun and there are alot of other babies around my age.. but i was shy and very cautious about everything there... i even cried at first when the teacher try to involve me in their activities! how shy~ hehe. after about 15mins i slowly opened up and tried to join the other babies in the class for activities.. its fun! i disturbed other babies as well by pulling their name tags n all hehe. but then... mummy says most probably she is not gonna register me for the class because she feels its mainly going there to PLAY and make new frens... not worth the $ she says.. she hopes i can learn something instead of just playing and socialising.. ohwell!

the lesson is basically from 1.45pm to about 2.45pm.. we are given free playtime on n off n then the teacher will call us to gather for some group activities. basically singing songs, playing with the gymboree soft toy, dancing... then pushing some balls around n all... its my first time there and still a bit blur about what's going on so i was pratically just watching the other babies playing. mummy was hoping that they have more 'educational' activities eg flashcards n all... she hope i can play and LEARN but then there, she feels the lesson is more to having fun and making friends which she dun really feel its necessary. she say she can simply bring me to the park's playground and she feels it makes no difference. somemore its free! haha. and.. the schol at gymboree is a bit far...but anyway she wanna have a look at the shichida school before deciding...

Rocco n My Giraffe

My Giraffe is so soft that Rocco is also in love with it! Look at him sleeping with his face under my giraffe? hehe

Potluck Lunch

Today mummy went to a fren's house at Shibuya for a potluck lunch and she made me some pancakes for breakfast and my lunch. She brought only 1 pc out and i almost cleared all of them during breakfast! So i didnt have much left for my lunch... Poor me.. Stupid mummy should have brought more out for me! This time, she uses the same recipe as before except that she changed a bit of the directions stated here: http://jumpy-ourpreciousprincess.blogspot.com/search/label/Pancakes

For these pancakes below, she actually usses only 1.5 whole egg instead of the 3 egg yolks stated in the above link and she seperate the white and yolk. She mix the beaten egg yolk into the mixture and then whipped up the egg white till soft perks form then fold it into the mixture. This makes the pancakes thicker and softer! Yummy! I love these so much! Actually she made 5 pcs but then daddy took one... he said its yummy as well!

As for the potluck lunch, mummy made some brownies for desert since she is a lousy cook hee. She got her recipe from this site: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Quick-and-Easy-Brownies/Detail.aspx

Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (mummy uses only 1 cup to make it more fudgy. too much flour will make the browny more cake like so if u prefer a more cake like brownie, u can use 1 1/2 cup of flour as per original recipe)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnut halves (optional-mummy didnt add these)

Directions
Melt the butter or margarine and mix all ingredients in the order given.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch(mummy uses a 9X9inch pan) greased pan.
** increased the baking time if you are using a smaller pan as the mixture will be thicker n takes longer time to be baked.

Fresh from the oven!

Mummy gave daddy some and he says its YUMMY! its so rare for daddy to praise mummy's food haha. he is always criticising her food saying that they are not meant for human haha.

All packed and ready to GO!

Mummy's frens said its yummy too and even asked mummy for the recipe! Happy mummy! hehe.

My first Makeup

Yesterday i disturbed daddy while he was studying for his TOEIC and... he uses his highlighter(water based) to make up for me! Look at his skills? haha. How do i look??

After that, mummy n daddy spent a whole day to change the setting of the house while i played by myself in the play yard. i was a good girl. didnt disturbed mummy and daddy. but i didnt take my nap as well.. both mummy and daddy are so busy...

While mummy n daddy is changing the setting of the furnitures, mummy suddenly saw the bright round beautiful moon so she took a photo of it

Beautiful isnt it?
