To the Zoo we GO!!!

Today is my BIRTHDAY!~ and mummy brought me to the Ueno Zoo! There was a typhoon yesterday and it rained whole day... mummy was worried that we wont be able to visit the zoo today but luckily its a super sunny day today!~ Phew~

We spent about 4.5 hrs there.. reached at 12pm exactly and left around 4.30pm. Very rush but we manage to see all the animals there.

Its my first trip to a zoo and i ENJOYED myself SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! Especially the 'kids zoo'. There, i fed the goats and they made me giggle so much! but too bad mummy didnt get the chance to take a photo or video of this as she needs to carry me with one hand and hold the grass with another hand...
After we passed the entrance above, we saw these 2 pandas below.. then mummy wanted me to take a photo with them.. see wat i did??

KICK!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe... opps...

Ok ok.. now a proper photo hehe.

Elephants~

Mummy! See the big panda!!!!

Soon after we reach the zoo, we went to the 'kids zoo'. There, we can pat the animals and feed them. There are rabbits, hamsters, goat, sheep, pigs and some chickens. As mummy is carrying me with one hand and holding the grass (for goats and sheeps) with another hand, she is unable to get a good shot of me feeding and playing with the animals. This is me holding the grass n trying to feed the goat hehe. I love the 'kids zoo'! I was pratically laughing (my asthmatic laughter) all the way inside!
I got to pat the sheep, goats and rabbits! But mummy says im violent as i tried to catch the rabbit's eye and mouth haha. Poor rabbit...
Mummy wanted to buy me a bday present so we went to a shop after my afternoon nap. There, she saw some animals' backpack and she thought its a good present since i can carry my own things in future after i start to walk by myself. ** Good present for HER since she dun need to carry my things anymore** LOL. There are 3 designs. Elephant, Panda and Giraffe. Mummy let me choose and at first i was in love with the panda but then just before mummy decided to buy that, i changed my mind and got the giraffe instead hehe. Totally not interested in the elephant though its mummy's fav! We have such a great difference in taste hehe.
See my giraffe below? hehe. Its sooooooooo SOFT!
Exploring my new fren~

After we bought my present, we went to see giraffe(real giraffe lol). It was eating and i enjoyed looking at it so much!

Spot me talking and making sounds? hehe. i have been very talkative today. talk n talk but mummy cant make out wat i was talking bout...

Just before we leave, mummy wants me to take photo with this simply because there is a date there haha. She says it is a proof that i was there on my 1st bday!

And after we arrive home, mummy insist that i carry my backpack for her to take a photo. See how happy i am?? I love my new giraffe backpack!

Though i am happy with my new present.. sometimes i still...

In the video above, i kept mummbling 'mama' but then mummy knows im not calling her. hehe. Oh well~ she gave me the giraffe but i pushed it away... I wasnt in the mood to play with my new fren mummy~!

I enjoyed myself SO much today! Thanks mummy!

My First Birthday!

My birthday is actually on the 27th October but since its a weekday, mummy brought forward n celebrated it today. She made a cake for me! This cake is actually super easy because its an 'instant' cake from Pigeon hehe. She just added some 'cream'(plain yogurt strained overnight) and strawberries for decorations.

This is the 'cake' she bought. there are alot of flavours but mummy thought these 2 seems the most delicious and she cant decide which to buy so end up she bought both! After asking for my opinion, she decided to make the strawberry milk flavoured one since thats the one i choosed.

Its easy to make. just pour the mixture into the given cup in the pack and stir in water or milk(mummy uses milk) and then put into the microwave to heat up. hehe.

This is the final product!

BUT............ i didnt eat it at all! only played with the crean n made a mess... so finally mummy threw the whole cake away after trying to feed me a few mouthful..

Look at the mess ive made below~

Since daddy's bday is just 2 weeks before me, we celebrated together!

We have our own individual bday cakes! Hehe!

Daddy was asking y no candles lol. well well.. mummy thought there is no need of candles esp when its dangerous as i might accidentally touch it..

Tomorrow mummy will bring me to a disney free trial lesson! I hope i can enjoy tomorrow! She is also thinking of bringing me to either disneyland or the zoo on my actual bday. Just me n mummy since its a weekday n daddy will be busy...

Ma Po Tofu

Its mummy's first try to cook this dish (daddy's fav). She cook it for his bday dinner hehe. but its belated though..anyway nothing to boost about since this is actually instant haha. she just needs to cook the minced meat, tofu and sprinkle some spring onions into it thats all. hehe

Non Bake Oreo Cheesecake

Mummy made this oreo cheesecake for daddy's bday because daddy loves cheesecakes! Its very easy to follow and taste so YUMMY! the ingredients looks ok for babies too so mummy says she is gonna let me have some of it (except for the oreos part) hehe.

Prep time: about 15mins for the filling

*** impt note: as u cant turn out the cheesecake to cool, be sure to use a springform cake tin or a tin with removable base.

Ingredients:

Base:
3/4 cup of crushed up oreo cookies(remove the cream. adjust accordingly. if u like thinner base, use lesser oreo crumbs. mummy uses a total of 13 oreo sandwiches. meaning 26pcs of oreo cookies)
50g of melted buter (melt in microwave or in a saucepan)

** mix the above ingredients and press into a 18cm greased pan base(ideal for small familes of 3-4 ppl. for bigger familes, use double of the ingredient n double of this pan size) with a metal spoon. chill for at least 30mins for it to be harden. while waiting for it to be harden, u can start with the filling or even do other things first before starting with the filling since the filling dosent take that long to be done.

Filling:

250g (1 block) of philadelphia cream cheese (u can use any other brand if u like. for thicker filling, u can use more cream cheese)
60g sugar (use lesser or more depending on your own preference of sweetness)

** beat the above with an electric mixer till creamy then fold in the below ingredients

5g of powdered gelatin dissolve in 1/4 cup of boiling water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup whipped cream
some chopped/crushed oreos (depending on your own preference on the amt to use and the size of the crumbs. mummy uses 4 oreo sandwiches. meaning 8pcs of oreo cookies. roughly crushed in a plastic bag with her hands)

** pour the mixture into the greased (remember to grease the sides so the cake can come out cleanly) cake pan and put into the fridge to chill for about 30mins. then add some more oreo cookies crumb/powder if u like(mummy added 1 oreo sandwiches meaning 2 pcs of oreo cookies evry finely crushed n sift onto the top). if not, its ok not to add as well. after adding, continue to cool till it hardens. (recipe says 2hrs but i presonally feel its best to leave for 6hrs or even overnight)

ENJOY! YUMMY!

Mummy's wig!

Mummy bought 2 wigs from taiwan before i was born but she has yet to use them... one of them is a wig (a total wig which covers u wear like a cap) and another one which is just something like an extension (which u clip it halfway down the hair). the wig somehow looks strange on mummy n she finds it hot and heavy.. yesterday we went for a wedding party and mummy thought its a good chance for her to try her hair 'extension'.

Below s mummy's extension. She likes this kind of soft loose curls hehe.

And below is mummy with the extensions. the extension is too long thus she cant take a full view of it PLUS her face by herself hehe.

Avocado!

Mummy tried giving me avocado when i was about 7mths old but then i hate it! and they dosent freeze well (turns brown when defroze) thus mummy threw all of them away (she dosent like to give me oxidised fruits though it is said to be ok for consumption).. but recently she thought maybe she can try it again since avocado is a very good fruit. so today she bought it and mix with some bananas(my fav fruit) for my snack and.... I finished half a banana an half an avocado! she didnt mash them together though. she fed me in chunks. Mummy is very happy that im taking avocado finally though she still feels it taste yucky haha

Flourless Banana Mish Mash Muffins

Found an interesting muffin recipe online

Flourless Banana Mish-Mash Muffins (Makes 12 muffins)

Ingredients(original recipe):
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup wheat (or oat) bran or softened bran cereal
1/4 teaspoon salt-mummy omitted this
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup blackstrap (or regular) molasses
1/4 cup coconut-mummy omitted this
2 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla extract-mummy omitted this
1 tablespoons baking powder
1 egg

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Grease muffin tins, or use muffin liners.
In large bowl, combine applesauce, 1 egg, molasses, bananas, and vanilla(omitted) until smooth. Add cinnamon if desired.
Mix in oats, bran cereal, baking powder, and salt(omitted).
Fold in coconut (or dried fruit, sliced nuts, etc.).-omitted
Fill muffin liners halfway with batter.
Sprinkle with sugar or sugar substitute on top if desired.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are light brown.

It is stated on the original recipe that dried fruit or sliced nuts can be substituted for the coconut. coconut could be difficult to chew and can be kinda stingy but finely shredded ones will work well. Also, add some cinammon or spices for extra flavor. The rolled oats could be ground up some to help the texture be more smooth, too.

**mummy doubted that this will work as it is flourless! She haven bake anything without any flour before! the dry ingredients is mainly oats, wheat bran and baking powder! So she wonder.. how the mixture can rise since the oats are so much heavier compare to flour???

Here's the result:

As expected, the muffins didnt rise as much though not too bad. mummy fill 3/4 of the muffin cups instead of half...

I LOVE them! perhaps because they are sweet due to the molasses... mummy doesnt really like them though. she says she hates the taste of blackstrap molasses haha.
